Mark J. Mottel, CPA, MS - Partner

Mark began his career in 1978 at Schwaeber, Sloane and Weitzman in Great Neck, NY which subsequently became part of today's KPMG. In 1980 he joined Laventhal & Horwath's NYC tax department, one of the country's largest CPA firms at the time. He then joined Weiner & Company, a mid-sized regional firm, as a tax manager until he left to establish his own firm in 1991. In 2000 he joined with Donald Kluge to form Mottel & Kluge which continued until he joined EZKR.

Throughout his career, he has specialized in real estate partnership taxation and sophisticated tax planning for businesses and high net-worth individuals. His real estate practice includes property operators and developers who own shopping centers, office buildings and residential apartment buildings. His other clients' industries include, among others, commercial post-production, law, healthcare, manufacturing and public relations. Mark is a problem-solver and takes pride in establishing a strategic plan that helps clients exceed their goals.

Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
