Barbara E. Bel, CPA - Partner
Barbara specializes in tax planning for high net-worth individuals, commercial entities, non-profits and private foundations. Her expertise includes providing tax and financial analyses to either or both parties in matrimonial disputes and she is a trained financial neutral in the fast emerging field of collaborative divorce.
Barbara's skills have been honed over twenty two years in public accounting including a series of positions held at Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) where she began her career.
Barbara is a speaker at various events and seminars, including those sponsored by the NYS Society of CPA's, International Association of Financial Planners, HSBC, Wachovia Securities, and Pace and Iona Universities. She is a frequent contributing writer to newspapers and her co-authored article on innocent spousal rules was published in the Millennium Issue of the Family Law Review Bar Association. On March 24, 2004 Barbara was interviewed by CBS-TV News on the Alternative Minimum Tax and on July 2, 2007 she was interviewed by Channel 12 News on advice to newlyweds. She is a tax partner and the partner-in-charge of the EZKR Small Business Services area.
Barbara is an active member of the New York State Society of CPAs (currently Vice-President, Westchester chapter and Board member of the PAC committee) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
